Having just seen the trailer for that travesty of a film (my fiance had to hold me down and shush me), thank you for giving voice to my pain. Also, I will take #5 and credit, because one should not mess with the Black Rider's storyline.

Not taking, but I just had to say I had no idea they were making those books into films, and while I've wanted that forever, if they're going to screw it up so severely...I think I might picket. haha. What a travesty.

YES. Thank you, I don't think these people understand the concept of an adaptation. It looks like bad fanfic where they keep some of the characters' names but change everything else, just on the big screen.

*winces* Exactly so. Casting CE as the Rider is actually a great idea: perfect fit. Everything else about his storyline and, come to think of it, the entire movie just makes me want to cry.

Oh, and by the bye, I love the icons, especially the second and the sixth.

It truly is excellent casting: I recently reread the book and little things such as the blue eyes and 'curious accent not of the South-East' fit perfectly. Too bad the rest of the movie looks utterly horrible. I don't know if I can even bear to mock watch it on dvd when I'll be free to yell at it. Ah well, perhaps someone will put the CE bits on youtube? Yes, that may be bearable.

And I just realized I said nothing about the icons! Great work, and I'll have to agree with ladyjoust in saying the 2nd and 6th are especially awesome.

It was one of my favorite book series when I was in middle school, and now god, the lameness! Save us!

The Rider's horse is...white? o_O? What are they doing to that poor book...I loved the book. So many did. And I just saw the trailer and was highly confused 'cause the book I read wasn't much like that...gah

It's so unfair, because Christpher Eccleston is probably the best casting possible for the Rider but this movie is going to suck. BAH.

Things like this make me want to produce films, just so they stop ruining my childhood. (And also because we seriously need a Quest for a Maid movie.)

I found out that they're making a movie adaptation of these books yesterday morning. I ranted to my friends for about an hour after that. These are some of my favorites books in the world. Soooo...these icons are AWESOME! haha...anyway, i'm taking some of them, and i'll credit for sure!
